Partnership in Aboriginal Care

PAC ReportAs Project Manager for the Submission Development Stage, ACHIEVE was instrumental in securing a $36M funding agreement involving commonwealth, state and Indigenous health agencies to establish the largest coordinated care project (at that time) in Australia.

This 12 month development stage involved:

Sustainable Community Housing

In conjunction with Southern Cross University and a local Aboriginal Community Working Party, we explored and developed innovative strategies for sustainable community housing in an Indigenous community. The processes adopted included:

  • Recruiting local Aboriginal people to conduct a houshold survey to find answers to the Question - What will make acommunity housing plan sustainable?
  • Involving them in the development of thesurvey questionniare as part of their training
  • Training them to conduct the survey
The survey provided some fairly indicative answers.

Indigenous Health & Community Care

We have experience managing projects for Indigenous communities throughout Australia including:Duri Report Cover

  • Developing the innovative Indigenous Coordinated Care Project known as the Partnership in Aboriginal Care.
  • Establishing the Northern Territory Food & Nutrition Project.
  • Reviewing the structure and function of a leading Aboriginal Health Partnership between two Aboriginal Medical Services and an Area Health Service.
  • Resolving a stalemate in the process of reviewing sites for an Indigenous childcare facility.
  • Conducting service reviews and preparing program based Annual Reports for one of the largest regional Aboriginal Medical Services in Australia.
